Here is a good story from PBS News which shows both sides of the opinion void. Unfortunately the video shows the opinion void is exactly that; a bloody big void.
It is absolutely key that we, the vaping community here in NZ work hard so that we can not be pushed around when the penny finally drops, and the big tobacco companies start throwing their billions around, making our soft footed leaders dance like puppets.
The more legal operations like NZVAPOR there are in NZ the more we can fight the bullies when they come to town. NZVAPOR do not shy away from the Ministry of Health etc as we do not break rules, we try to work with them.
This BBC Journalist looks into the medical point of e-cigarettes and from a medical point of view - Are they are actually as safe as they are said to be?
A new world standard has been released by Afnor - The first globally recognised e cigarette standard
Here is a copy of the most recent press release on NZVAPOR :-)
Share with a smoker to show them what they are doing to themselves - they need to know!
This is the residue left behind after ONE cigarette... Imagine the level of toxins a smoker gets from a 15 or 20 a day habit!
This is a true story of a New Zealander (the unnamed person requested to remain anonymous)
I smoked a pack a day for 20 years. I hate to think about the damage I did to my body and the money I spent through those years.
Looking back, I realise now that I was sick. Not sick like I had a cold or a virus, but sick like my body had slowly, silently degenerated over the years.
If more kids are taking on e-cigarettes instead of smoking, that's kinda good and kinda bad.
Its good because they are not smoking, but its bad because although vaping has very low negative health effects, we still don't want the young ones to take it up. Here's an idea though...

Could vaping in NZ be the answer?
3 years ago the government put a plan in place to stub all smoking out by 2025, but recent reports have shown NZ is way off target.
Each year around 12,500 people successfully quit smoking, but to reach the target we need about 35,000 to kick the habit each year... A massive shortfall.
The Ministry of Health has now conceded that the national target of being smokefree by 2025 will not be met without a massive shakeup of funding for anti-tobacco groups... They want MORE MONEY???!!!
AND GUESS WHAT??? NZVAPOR ALREADY COMPLY!
Two global standards are now available to all ecig and ejuice manufacturers, suppliers, testing laboratories and distributors who will take on the responsibility to comply.
NZVAPOR manufacture our own e-juice (NV Juice), we are the ONLY operation LEGALLY manufacturing, distributing and retailing nicotine based e-juice solely to NZ - So this standard is important to us!
Happy Easter everybody!
To celebrate easter we are discounting our entire Sweet e-juice range by 20%!
